Austin Che 9/22/94 World Core Solving World Problems Many world problems have to be faced. The difficult decisions lie in which problems are the most critical. After being informed on some of the world problems, the following are the top three world problems that I think are the most in need of money. The most pressing problem is homelessness and refugees. Homelessness has caused so much suffering for so many people that I believe that this deserves the most money. The people who are homeless look so sick and unhealthy that I would like to help them in any way I can. The money could be used to feed and give shelter for many homeless. This problem could occur to anyone and really is in need of money. The next problem deserving money is AIDS. There are people dying because of AIDS everywhere in the world. So many people are transmitting the disease without even knowing it. Money should be spent to teach people to prevent the spreading of this deadly disease. Without this knowledge, people will continue to spread AIDS throughout the world. Another problem requiring attention is drugs. Drugs have mainly contributed to high crime rates around the world. Money should be used to hire more drug enforcement officers to stop the production and trafficking of drugs. Drugs can affect everyone as no one is completely isolated by the threat of drugs. Drugs can also cause innocent people to die tragically. The money spent for this problem could save the lives of many people. Even though I believe that the above problems require the most attention and money, all world problems must be solved and that requires the combined effort of everyone.
